Gurmukh Lakhmani

Gurmukh Lakhmani is the Vice President and CIO of Multicraft International. After obtaining a B.S. in mechanical engineering at SVNIT (Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology), he immigrated to America to pursue an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1980. His thesis “A study of the relationship between group technology and material requirements planning” was named second in the nation by the Institution of Industrial Engineers(IEEE). After graduation, he began working at Multicraft International as a project engineer, where he founded and then headed the information technology department. While at Multicraft, he also served as president of the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) from 1988 and won platinum awards for the Mississippi chapter of the organization. In this position, he implemented various ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) Systems such as Computer Associate’s MANMAN, Oracle ERP and Microsoft Dynamics while also raising two wonderful sons, Shan and Puneet, with his beloved wife, Sharda.
